He is a co-founder and editor of Direkt36, a non-profit investigative journalism center in Hungary. Previously, he had worked for Origo, one of Hungary's most popular news sites, The Washington Post, and the BBC World Service. At The Washington Post, he was involved in major data-driven projects as a visiting reporter in the investigative unit. In Hungary, he has been focusing on political corruption, with a heavy reliance on data and public records. Most recently, he has been working in ICIJ's Panama Papers project. He received several awards for his work, including two Soma Prizes, the only Hungarian award dedicated to investigative reporting.
