Tenders across borders - how we unveiled Italian corruption among bidders to Denmark’s next big bridge

In this presentation, two Danish journalists share their experience on working with cross-border tenders and explain why both the EU and national rules fail to protect public funds from falling into the hands of dubious companies. On behalf of a Danish trade union magazine they started digging into a multimillion euro tender for a new bridge in Denmark only to discover companies involved in corruption charges and in bad economic shape. At the end those very companies did get the bid because they were much cheaper than other bidders.
