CAR training: "Hands-on data storytelling with Flourish (2 of 2)
Flourish is an award-winning data visualisation platform that is free for newsrooms, thanks to support from Google’s News Initiative. It lets journalists string together data-driven slides into interactive presentations that can be shared and embedded on websites. Available templates include animated maps, network diagrams, Sankey charts, quizzes, and more. Plus Javascript developers can create their own templates using the freely available SDK. This workshop is lead by Michael Kowalski, a platform developer at Flourish who has previously run projects at the Guardian and Newscorp. He will introduce the Flourish platform and take participants through the process of creating and distributing data-driven stories. No previous experience of data visualisation is required. "
