Roundtable: The Automatic Boss - Automated Human Resources Management and Labour Rights
Throughout Europe, companies are starting to use automated decision making (ADM) systems to evaluate and manage employee performance. These systems are used to predict employees’ performance and behaviour, such as likeliness of attrition. AlgorithmWatch is looking into the functions these systems offer to users (employers) and those affected (employees), what information employees have about the use of the systems and what say they have in their deployment and use. The research is focused on systems deployed in Germany. With this roundtable we would like to connect to other journalists and researchers working on labour and automation issues - to identify similar projects in Europe and share knowledge and experiences.
