EIJC & Dataharvest is an annual, four-day conference, organised by Journalismfund.eu, which brings together journalism heavyweights, data specialists and coding whiz-kids to exchange skills and story ideas. EIJC18 & Dataharvest will take place on Thursday 24, Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday morning 27 May 2018. Like last year, place to be is the charming city of Mechelen, 20 minutes outside of Brussels and very easily accessible! Eiliv Frich Flydal

Flydal has worked as a journalist with the daily newspaper Dagbladet in Norway since 2006. He covers several topics, such as politics, public spending and crime. In 2016-2018 investigated the royal house, uncovering mismanagement of public funds within the kings Royal court. The project was awarded a diploma by the Norwegian foundation for investigative journalism in Norway (SKUP). In 2017, a series of articles on the unlawful handling of garbage and violations of workers rights in Oslo was awarded a diploma and was awarded best data journalism project at Data SKUP. Flydal is a member of the Norwegian Press openess committee and joined the board of Norwegian foundation for investigative journalism in Norway (SKUP) in 2018. Mail: eff@dagbladet.no.
