EIJC & Dataharvest is an annual, four-day conference, organised by Journalismfund.eu, which brings together journalism heavyweights, data specialists and coding whiz-kids to exchange skills and story ideas. EIJC18 & Dataharvest will take place on Thursday 24, Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday morning 27 May 2018. Like last year, place to be is the charming city of Mechelen, 20 minutes outside of Brussels and very easily accessible! Address is Zandpoortvest 60, 2800 Mechelen at Thomas More University College - Campus De Vest.

Kristof Clerix (*1978), Belgium, works as a reporter for the Belgian weekly news magzine Knack . He is specialized in security reporting and long term investigative projects. As member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), he collaborated on LuxLeaks, SwissLeaks, Evicted&Abandoned, the Panama Papers, Bahamas Leaks, the Paradise Papers and the Implant Files. Clerix also wrote two books on espionage in the heart of Europe. In collaboration with Bellingcat and Syrian Archive, Clerix revealed in 2018 that Belgian companies illegally exported 96 tonnes of nerve gas precursor isopropanol to Syria. The story went global. And with OCCRP he published the Troika Laundromat.
